JD Henning, PhD, CFE
Dr. Henning draws from an extensive background in finance, forensic analytics, portfolio management, entrepreneurial start-ups, supply chain management, and fraud investigation to detect, analyze, and optimize financial irregularities in the marketplace.
Henning holds a PhD in Finance with a focus on financial management. His published work includes, “Multiple Discriminant Analysis of the Price Momentum Anomaly and Reversal Event Signals” which leverages the seminal bankruptcy prediction work of Altman (1968) and Taffler (1984) in order to identify predictive elements of financial irregularities across every market sector.
Henning graduated from Penn State University with an MBA in Finance and Supply Chain Management, and holds a BS in Management from the United States Coast Guard Academy. His master’s thesis focused on offshore mutual fund creation and he has been actively investing in the financial markets for more than 25 years. In the corporate world he has been the finance lead of a GE manufacturing and assembly facility, a logistics manager, a purchasing manager, and a consultant to Shell Petroleum and other S&P100 firms. He has served both as a licensed private investigator in the state of Texas and an intelligence officer for the US government. He has owned and operated multinational energy businesses as CEO/CFO providing services across more than 15 states and three countries.
Past and current certifications include: CFE – Certified Fraud Examiner, C.P.M. – ISM Certified Purchasing Manager , CPIM – APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management, and Series 65 – NASAA Investment Advisors Law Examination.
